The course will introduce students to the techniques of Ikebana, the Japanese art of floral arrangement for both ornamental and therapeutic purposes. Students will be taught some simple rules to create small works of art using simple elements of nature. Each participant will also be given a ceramic Ikebana vase, a flower sponge and a large variety of natural elements to create Ikebana and take home.
