Young singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Clara Popolo took up music when she was just eleven, and in short order uncovered her creative bent and songwriting ability. From the outset, she penned her autobiographical lyrics in English to match her international style.
Fusing pop with a variety of genres, including rock, folk and jazz, she has created a sound that evokes strains of Kate Bush, Alanis Morissette or Tori Amos, while still maintaining a fresh, original identity.
Clara has worked with prominent figures from the English folk scene, among them Kathryn Tickell, Michael McGoldrick and Shona Mooney.
