There are those that swear they’ve never heard a non-Irish band playing in such an authentic style. Some claim that the European Celtic punk-rock scene is not the same since their formation. And there are those who say simply that Uncle Bard & The Dirty Bastards are something else altogether.
Their story begins with a huge passion for the Emerald Isle, its culture and its people, from a series of trips that made them fall in love with its music. So in 2007 they put together a band and since then have not looked back, playing everywhere with everyone, including musicians they met on the street while they were on the road, and sharing the stage with internationally renowned artists of the Dropkick Murphys caliber. Joining the Bastards is Luca Crespi, one of the most respected interpreters of traditional Irish music.
